Eight to the Bar
Eight to the Bar Drawing its musical influences from American roots music - swing, boggie woogie, rhythm & blues, soul, Motown, - Eight to the Bar is known for its outstanding instrumentalists and sophisticated musical and vocal arrangements, highlighted by female vocals. With the support of independently-produced albums and videos, Eight to the Bar has cultivated a large, entursiastic following that has put them in clubs from Disneyland to Disney World as well as Europe and the Carribean.
Their rigorous performing schedule (approximately 200 dates per year), has included opening spots for Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Manhatten Transfer, Robert Cray, Neil Young, Rob Orbinson and Ray Charles.
Listening to Eight to the Bar is a lot like driving along a time-warped highway precisely halfway between Count Basie's Kansas City and the Supremes' Detroit where the car radio picks up everything from "Take the A Train" to "I heard it Through the Grapevine." Their material, like their outlandish wardrobes and onstage choreo, is a colorful mixture of forties jive, fifties melodrama and sixties Motown.

Steve D'Agostino - Singin' & Swingin' with his Band
Steve D'Agostino Steve D'Agostino has been performing for more than 20 years the songs form The Great American Songbook with an emphasis on the era from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin and Tony Bennett. Steve began his musical training quite young. At the age of 8, he studied guitar and then jazz guitar with Tony Perone and Sal Salvador at the University of Bridgeport while still attending high school at St. Joseph in Trumbull, CT where he still resides today. By the age of 14, Steve was playing guitar with the University of Bridgeport Big Band called Collage under the direction of Gary Riggerio.
Singing began at 16 with his first band called Finesse back in the early 80's where Steve transitioned from playing guitar to vocalist. Steve's smooth phrasing on ballads and swinging style has taken him from Coast to Coast, performing in Las Vegas at the Paris Casino Hotel to Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. Steve maintains the tradition of this music today adding his own flair without impersonating any of the great artists that came before him.
Many say that he sounds like a cross between Sinatra and Darin, but Steve says that "To impersonate these greats would just be an injustice to the style of music. It is true that they did have a major influence on my singing style, but I try to perform the songs with my own style."

Steve performs with his quartet in many establishments in CT to stay close to his family which is very important to him.
