2017 Schooner Cruise Schedule
About the Vessel:Embark on an exciting journey when you step aboard the three-masted 80-ft schooner SoundWaters styled after a 19th century Chesapeake Bay sharpie, moored at Milford Harbor for the Annual Milford Oyster Festival. Explore the heritage that sailors have shared throughout the centuries, while enjoying the breathtaking views of Long Island Sound. It is an experience that you, your family and friends are sure to delight in and remember.
Daytime cruises are approximately ninety-minutes long and will depart from the Milford Boat Ramp located behind Milford Library on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunset Cruises are approximately two-hours long will depart from the Milford Boat Ramp at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Festival senior and handicapped shuttle from Harborside School will be available for Saturday afternoon cruises and will drop off guests in front of Milford Library.

Advance Reservations: Advance registration is strongly recommended and will be accepted on a first come/first serve basis. If the Cruise Date and Time is still listed above then there are available seats.
Advance Registrations Online (recommended): Online registrations will be accepted until noon Thursday for the Thursday Sunset cruise, noon Friday for the Friday Sunset cruise and 7:00 a.m. Saturday for Saturday cruises. To make a reservation online, click the link above for the Cruise you desire, follow the instructions and pay with a credit card. Please remember your credit card statement will list this purchase as "Paypal". Time slots purchased online are confirmed via email. Print your online PayPal receipt. Print your email confirmation and bring it with you the day of your cruise.
Advance Registration By Phone: Advance phone registration are accepted until Wednesday, August 17th and are subject to availability. To register by phone, call AMOF Schooner Reservations at (203) 878-5363. Families and groups are encouraged to make their reservations at the same time. Time slots may fill while your registration is being processed. Payment by check or money order will be accepted by telephone until August 9th. Payment by credit card will be accepted by telephone until Wednesday, August 17th.
On-site registration: You may register the day of the Festival at the schooner cruise check-in table at the Milford Boat Ramp (See Festival Map) for any available cruise approximately 60 minutes prior to each sailing, subject to space availability.
Payment options: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and debit card payments will be accepted online. Checks and money orders are accepted; please call the number in the Advance Registration By Phone section by August 9, 2016 to make reservations with a check or money order. Mail payment to: AMOF Schooner Cruise, PO Box 5161, Milford, CT 06460 - Please make checks and money orders payable to: AMOF. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and cash will be accepted the day of the Festival.
Check-in times: All guests are required to check in for a boarding pass at the Milford Boat Ramp 30 minutes prior to your departure time. Please bring an ID for all guests over 18. Guests will board the schooner 15 minutes before departure. Any guest not checked in at this time will forfeit his reservation without a refund; guests are cautioned to plan accordingly. Parking is not available in the vicinity of the cruise departure. Check out the Milford Oyster Festival website for parking suggestions.
Waiver: All Participants must sign a waiver dockside prior to receiving their boarding pass. Parents must sign for children who are under 18 years of age. The waiver reads: In consideration for allowing me to participate in the 43rd Annual Milford Oyster Festival Sound Waters Schooner Cruise ("Cruise") to be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017, Friday, August 18,2017 and Saturday, August 19,2017 I hereby waive any and all liability that AMOF and the "Cruise", and their respective Officers, Directors, members, participants, agents, and sponsors may have to me arising from my participation in the "Cruise". Furthermore, I hereby agree to hold harmless AMOF and the "Cruise", and their Officers, Directors, members, participants, agents, and sponsors for any and all damage including personal injury or to property which may offer to me or my property that may arise in relation to my participation in the "Cruise". AMOF is not responsible for any lost or misdirected Applications. Any Guest whose behavior is deemed inappropriate by an AMOF or "Cruise" Officer or Director will be asked to leave without a refund.
Directions: Schooner cruises will depart from the Milford Boat Ramp. The Milford Boat Ramp is located behind Milford Library and the Fowler Building on New Haven Avenue. Follow the road behind the library to the Milford Boat Ramp across from the children's rides. Parking is not available in the vicinity of the cruise departure. On Thursday and Friday, parking is available at the Parson's Complex and various lots in Milford Center. On Saturday, shuttle bus service is provided free to Festival patrons who park at Jonathan Law High School and Connecticut Post Shopping Mall. Passengers will be dropped off and picked up at the Milford Senior Center located on the corner of High Street and Jepson Drive. Handicapped parking is available at Harborside School and a free shuttle is available to bring senior and handicapped guests from Harborside School and the Milford Senior Center to the Milford Fire Department Headquarters. Please allow extra time to reach the boat ramp if you are utilizing the senior/handicapped service. A late bus will be provided for guests on the Saturday Sunset Cruise to the high school and mall parking areas. Cancellations: Guests may cancel their reservations and receive a refund if they call AMOF at (203) 878-5363 no later than August 9, 2016. No refunds will be issued after that date. Checks and changes returned as unpaid or insufficient funds will void a guest reservation. Guests are responsible for additional charges incurred due to returned payments. Refunds will be issued if the AMOF or SoundWaters cancels a trip due to inclement weather.
