About the Vessel: SoundWaters is a steel-hulled, three-masted schooner, U.S. Coast Guard-certified to carry 48 passengers. The decks are wide and comfortable. A quiet diesel engine motors the schooner until the sails are raised. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to sail without an adult. The experience generally is not suitable for toddlers and infants.

For most of the sailing season, the schooner SoundWaters serves as the Floating Classroom, offering educational sails to school groups, camps, scouts and other organizations.

Safe, comfortable and stable, SoundWaters is operated by a licensed captain and experienced crew.
